One would be to take the cards into a shop that sells collectible cards to have someone look them over to give you an idea as to the value of certain ones and also sets. It really is better to have someone look at collectible cards in person because concerning buying and selling the cards, the collectors get really, really picky about the condition of the cards, especially cards that aren't really all that old.

You also could go to a library and look up your cards in a book without having to buy the book. You could also purchase a book on baseball card values at a bookstore.
