For weight loss, it is simple mathematics - a pound equals 3500 calories. You should only lose 1-2 pounds a week. That means that you need to track what you are eating right now for a week to learn how many total calories you are already eating on average, and then subtract about 3500 - 5000 calories from your diet for the week.

That translates into about 500 - 750 calories you will need to stop eating every day.

Additional concerns with weight loss are what should your healthy weight be. This cannot be answered by a chart, it not the same answer for everyone. Having said that, at 55kg and 5'5", you are already at the low end of the scale for a woman with a light frame, and underweight if you were a man with a small frame.

You should see a Doctor before attempting to lose weight to ensure you are doing it in a healthy manner, and you need to lose the weight.

You may need to tone up. An exercise plan which strengthens the back muscles, your core, abs, etc. will make a significant impact on your stomach. But, before you ever do any of this on your own, please seek medical and professional advice.
