    4 negative pregnancy tests.
My boyfriend and I have never had unprotected sex, but the last period I had was on July 12th, which makes me 48 days late today. I haven't had any symptoms of pregnancy, there has been no change in my daily lifestyle, and I have not been stressing over anything. I have taken 3 HPT's, all negative, the last one I took was about a month ago. I went to Planned Parenthood yesterday and took a urine test, which came out negative also. What are the differences between Planned Parenthoods urine tests and HPTs? What are the chances of me being pregnant, even after having taken all these tests? Is a blood test still needed or should I wait a few more weeks?

The urine tests that the doctor/Planned Parenthood give you are basically the same thing as an HPT. If you think pregnancy is a possibility, you should get a blood test done.

Pregnancy is not the only thing that will cause missed periods. Have you been dieting (lost/gained a lot of weight), exercising, on any birth control?

As Nautical said, all urine tests are pretty much the same as far as how they test... some urine tests are more sensitive than others... but they all test the same.

Stress, changes in weight, diet, exercise, and numerous other factors can play into delaying or missing your period altogether.

If you have never had unprotected sex, all these tests are negative, and you are having no symptoms, the chances that you are pregnant are really really low.

I would wait until when you are due in October... if you are don't have a period by mid-October, I would set an appt with your doctor to see what's going on.

No, I haven't changed anything. No exercise or dieting, nothing. It's just weird, I haven't been irregular in four years now.

If none of these factors play into your lifestyle, you should see a doctor.

No problem :) I'm 25 and have had irregular periods since I first started them.

In high school I was put on birth control pills to regulate them, and now at 25 while I'm trying to get pregnant I am on a medication called Prometrium to relgulate me. I have had about every test done, and everything is fine with me... just my periods are whacky!

    :)
