    My landlord
I'm trying to find out what the tenant-landlord laws are. I pay 900.00 a month for a house that our A/C is constantly broken, I have a 2 year old and pregnant. My landlord makes us wait for weeks and weeks to get A/C repairs, plumbing repairs, our oven replced because it broke, our windows are not safe, they do not lock and the air flows right out them while they are shut. She has promised for months to fix the windows and what not and hasn't. We still pay the 900.00 a month on time all the time, and there are still plenty of repairs to be made. We would break the lease but do not want to have to pay an extra 900.00 to do so. My question is I'm trying to find out the laws so that I can figure out if we can get out of there, or have her lower the rent or what?. I am at a loss because I have never rented before and I have no clue what to do w/ this situation.

First I've moved this to real estate law where it beloings.

Second, A landlord has to provide a livable environment. Unfortunately, lack of A/C does not make an unlivable environment. Being without water or pipes being backed up might qualify. No oven would qualify.

What you need to do is document all the problems and report it to your local housing authority and see what they say.
