How do I partition my computer I have a 180gb hard drive
HI,
Many suggest using Partition Magic. You can find the website using google.com, or any search engine.
You might also post back and give the windows version you are using, such as XP, 98, etc.
Best wishes,
fredg
Partitioning is done using FDISK or DISKPART which are command line utilities that comes with Windows, depending on version.
However, either of these can only create partitions out unpartitioned space. If you want to create partitions out of existing partitions then you need to start from scratch or use a utility like Partition Magic.
Starting from scratch means removing the existing partition(s) and recreating new ones. But this wipes whatever is on your drive.
Partition Magic will allow you to resize a partititon, thereby freeing up space to create new ones. I've used PM for several years and it's a great utility.
There seems to be an echo...

Obviously, Scott was just expanding upon what you said... your idea AND his idea were very helpful.

I'll also point you you posted this 2 days ago:
"Personally, I don't suggest any software unless I have either tried it or are currently using it." (See here: https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/showthread.php?t=13380). Yet I don't believe you have ever used PM. Have you?
I guess you got up on the wrong side of the bed this AM. You used the JimBrown ID on PM to post an attack on me there and posted 2 attacks on me here. When are you going to give up this harassment?
