Want job at BANK, my record is expunged, but can I be bonded?
Pety Theft, it was expunged, but Bank of American requires all employees to be bonded. Is this possible?

It varies from state to state and company to company as to whether 1) BofA would be able to find the record, since it's expunged, and 2) Whether the company doing the bonding would accept you because of it if it was found.

If expunged then I suggest don't worry, and go for it.

If you work for ANY bank you must be bonded AND you will be bonded for employee dishonesty by a "Bankers Blanket Bond".. such bond being required by the Fed Govt since bank deposits are federally insured up to $100,000.00.. . and to shed some further light on the matter, I doubt the surety company that provides the blanket bond wants to or even wants to spend the money or the time checking out each employee. Rather, the bank will do that more than likely and that will include, among possibly other checks, a background check. At that time the bank may discover your background. You state the record has been "enpunged" so I presume it will not be discovered. In that case, you will more than likely be asked on your employment application a question similar to "have you ever been convicted of... and that's when you have to decide how to answer.
