If you haven't taken any birth control for over a year, and then take two birth control pills at once will it mess your menstrual periods up?

Yes you can still get pregnant. Taking two birth control pills at once really won't do anything. You need to take them daily for them to have effect. If you are starting on birth control pills you should use something else, such as a condom, for 30 days.

Out of curiosity, if you are just starting to take birth control pills, why did you take two at once?

    Myth
Yes it can and it will effect you're the whole of your hormone levels also. Why would you take two at once. If it's to terminate a pregnancy they won't do it anymore. The companies have changed the formula in the pills so that they won't allow that. You would be better of going to the dr and getting the morning after pill.

Yes, it takes a month for birth control pills to start working... and doubling up won't help anything

You should be fine. Just keep on track. The doctor will tell you even missing one bill, just take two the next day. So I would suggest taking the pill that you were supposed to take in the first place. Those white ones are placebos. I never even take them.

I have been off because for 2 years and have just now got my periods back on track. Although I did start taking because pills, if I don't start my period around the same ime as last month does that mean I'm pregnant, or is it the pills that have messed me up?

Pills will kind of re-create your cycle, making it regular. How long has it been since your last period?

Did you post a new thread to answer my question in another thread, why not just answer it there? And I wouldn't worry, that's not even a month, chances are really good that it's the birth control taking effect.

Go to the doctor once it's been more than one month since a missed period. Use protection. And PLEASE stop reposting answers to an already exististing thread as a separate one.
