My Kenmore dryer will not stop. It times out to just before it should shut off and does not go any farther. I have replaced the timer and that did not help.

Check your thermostats. If you see one with 3 leads on it, the 3rd lead will go to the timer. It may be telling the timer the clothes are not dry and will not advance the timer. Replace that thermostat and all should be well

You are to quick for me esquire I had to look that one up but is the exact thing that I found.

J Costa: I don't have the reputation of being "quick" LOL, but this is about the only thing I have found in my experience other than a bad timer, which was replaced, that will cause this.
