Have to wire outlet for commercial freezer unit. Needs 1ph 208-230v. Plug is 15A/250V. Do I run 2 "hot" leads from same phase and one N/G to round pin? Not sure how you get 208-230 from one phase? Thanks - SM

Connect one to each of the legs. Using a standard 2 pole 20 amp 240 volt breaker will automatically connect to both opposite busbars.

Ground wire to ground bar in panel.

Use #12 - 2 cable with ground, tape the white black at both ends, and use a NEMA 6-20R receptacle.

I have a welder and a compressor that run on 208v or 230v. I need a diagram that shows what kind of circuit breaker, where the different colored wires attaché to the circuit breaker and the receptacle and the size of the wire. This is for a home/hobby use. Thanks

You need to buy a 2 pole circuit breaker of the same make and model number that your panelboard can accept. I do not know what brand you have.

The circuit breaker needs to be rated for the amp draw of your welder. I do not know what amp rating as you did not provide any nameplate information.

A typical welder requires a 2 pole 50 amp 240 volt circuit, consisting of a two wire plus ground # 6 cable from the 2 pole breaker to a NEMA 6-50R straight blade receptacle that matches the plug on the welder.
