I Own my home and have for 1 year and 3 months. My husband is not on the title or mortgage. I want to refinance but my credit may not be good enough. I wanted to refinance with my husband but he has to be on the title for 6 month. Is this true? Is there any suggestions. My current Interest rate is crazy and I need to get it down to have a more affordable payment. Im afraid I may not be able to keep paying such a high house payment.:confused:

Speak to a different lender. You should be able to add your husband to the title and sign a new mortgage all on the same day.

Keep in mind that if you add your husband to the title he will become an owner of your home. If you are trying to add your husband to the mortgage without adding him to the title (making him basically a co-signer on the loan) then you are talking about something completely different.
