    Ford 7.3L Diesel Stalling
I have a 2002 Ford Excursion with a 7.3L Diesel engine. There are 95,270 miles on the SUV, I am the original owner. Lately when I take my foot off the accelerator to slow down for a stop or a curve the engine quits. I put the SUV in neutral and it restarts. Sometimes when I'm driving at normal speed the engine quits also. There are time when the engine won't restart right away. It seems like the fuel pump shuts off for no apparent reason. Any ideas?

    Thanks

Many problems with diesels are related to water in the fuel and air. Be sure to purge all water and change the fuel filter every 10,000 miles. Likewise, change the air filter every 15,000 miles.
