No Ring but do have dialtone
I have a dial tone and can call out on my land line but my phone does not ring when I get a call. If I call from my cell phone and pick up my land line the connection is made even though the land lline does not ring. AT&T says that the problem is on my side of the box. When I plug a phone into the outside box it will ring and make a connection. Thanks in advance.

I get 105 ib my tester at the box and slightly less at the boxes in the house.

Is there a ringer volume feature on the phone, like a switch? Maybe that's turned off.

It's a loose/corroded connection somewhere. The outside connection test confirms it. You were supposed to do that first. What it means is that the line can't pass the current required for the bell to ring. I can't tell your where to look because I don't know the topology. It could be a wire in the NID on your side, or the jack, a cable. A junction block or anywhere in between. The jumper itself or the network module could be bad but you initailly assume it isn't. Telco testers can inject there and inside the house to rule that out.

Have seen some phones not ring if polarity reversed, strange cause ringing is AC.
You could reverse wires at a jack and test, if it works, put back and reverse at telco, have seen them reverse on resplices. I also would look unplug phone and look at the gold plated contacts, should not be black, green or corroded. A simple phone tester can verify correct polarity without opening jack.

Just a reminder, that telco cords are not straight through. Meaning a like does not connect to a like pin. In telco connections, pin 1 of connecter #1 is pin 6 of connector #2 etc.

Ethernet cables are typically straight through, but you can buy x-over cables and like phones ethernet ports have auto MDIX ports that don't care.

Plug your phone into the test jack outside at the NID (Network Interface Device) and do the ring test.

Typically, you'll find a module with a small modular jumper. Unplug the jumper and attach the phone to the now exposed jack and do your ring test.

If you have another modular cable, it would not hurt to try it.
