    Shower Stall Leaking!
We recently discovered that our carpet and baseboards were wet in our master bedroom along the wall that backs onto our enclosed ceramic tile shower stall. Our house is only two years old and we have not had any prior issues. We peeled back the carpet and took off the baseboards and it was very damp/wet. We have no idea where the leak is coming from. Is there any way to discover the source of the leak without tearing apart our master bath?

    Thanks,

    Hi,
A customer of mine had a smiler problem,a pipe connection was not glued together by the plumbers.

It took some looking through the walls, cutting small areas out and repairs upon completion, look for the water at a low point and track it back.

    Hope this helps

Once again I find KBC correct. It may actually be cheaper and easier to do this repair from the room below. Hopefully you will only need to do a good drywall patch after repairing the bad connection. Before you do any of the suggested work I would remove the shower handle and bezel. Get a flashlight and maybe a small mirror to inspect the wall cavity. This leak could come from the mixing valve and then travel across the flooring. Check this first, that cavity should be bone dry.
