My honda civic 91 would start than cut off. Its getting power put whe I would ush the gas it wouldn't go and would cut off. I let it sit and would start and go but cut off again. Now I can't get it to start to mke it home. I think I might need spark plugs and wires and a distributer cap. I just got it replaced the alternater belt. I had not been driven in a while. I don't want it to be the timming belt. Any help?

. Go over the electrical system and consider replacing the spark plugs (NGK only), rotor, wires, and distributor cap. Have AutoZone test the igniter and coil for free.

Thanks just replaced all that it started ran but cut off again won't stay started have no idea. Someone said the timming might be off?

Consider replacing the ignitor and coil.
