    How old are you?

You should be able to get on birth control pills... my doctor put me on them to help regulate me in high school.

    Thanks (: that helps
I'm 15, 16 in October by the way
Can you get them from a shop/chemist or do you have to go the doctors?

Your body is still adjusting to your cycle. It can take a very long time to get a "normal" cycle. I'm 28 and I've never had a normal cycle my whole life. It varies from person to person.

In regards to birth control pills you will have to get them through the doctor. A lot of gynecologists will prescribe them to help regulate your cycle.

Manon... I was put on because at your age for the same thing. I still have the problem. Are you by any chance skinny? My doc has told me that has a lot to do with mine. But, have your parent take you to an obgyn and they will run tests to make sure you're not anemic.

Oh right, well I used to have normal cycles, I had them normal for about a year or so, but all of a sudden a missed 6 months and I was like?? And then it all went dodge.
I think I will go to the doctors
    Thank you (:

22 days is a long time to have your period. Your mother needs to take you back to the doctor and demand they find out what is wrong with you and fix it.

Thanks rpg219, I'm not skinny, but it made me think I couple of months ago I went on weight loss pills, I passed out a few times because I overdosed. Everything seemed fine I stopped taking them but that may be the reason I don't know what do you think?

I have this thing, I can't talk to my mum about periods and stuff, I mean I am close to her but I physically can't do it, because she does not know of the reasons of why I might be going funny on them but I am going to try and book an apointment myself and go with a friend sometime, I'm going to have to find the number though.

Diet pills can cause irregular periods (Source: Diet Pills Health Risks)

When you went to the doctor before, did you mention this? It would be a good thing to mention next time you go.

Oh OK. When you said that the chemist told you to go to the doctor I thought you went. :p

Make sure you let the doctor know about the diet pills. It is best if they know everything that could have caused this, that way it is easier for them to diagnose and treat you. :)

Any change in you weight, especailly if its drastic, can cause serious changes to your cycle. My doctor always said my periods weren't regular because I was so active in sports and had such low body fat. He put me on BC pills to regulate me. I then developed an eating disorder, and my periods have never been regular.

Now that my husband and I are trying to get pregnant and it is extremely difficult because my periods are crazy, my OBGYN said they don't know why, but it has been shown that once you have an eating disorder, even after full recovery, your periods may never return to normal.

If you can't talk to you mom about it you could see if there is a Planned Parenthood, or something similar where you live. You can get on BC pills there without your mom.

Go to planned parenthood, your parents do not need to know, but it is always best to be honest with them..
