You can always try to get on birth contol, but if you would rather not do that I always take 3 Advil every morning when I am on my period and it helps cramping and head aches.

Depends what your pms symptoms are... Is it pms or pmdd? Are you concerned with the physical or the emotional? The pill can greatly reduce the physical symptoms and the birth control pill Yaz is suspose to handle quite a few physical and emotional symptoms.. BUT do your research first I found a lot of conflicting reports on some women's reaction to it... Also taking 100 mg of vitamin B6 is suspose to help some of the emotional mood swings associated with pms so you could try that.

It may be pmdd. The symptoms I'm most concerned about are emotional. My husband and I are also trying to get pregnant right now, and so the pill is not a possibility. I do take a lot of B Complex and supplements.

Well if you are trying to get preganant I would be avoiding any drugs obviously... other than the b6 the only thing I can suggest is exercise... It is listed as a way to cope with the emotional aspects... but if you are like me when I get like that... you are wired/tired/irritated/moody/depressed to care about exercise. You could try and actually keep a schedule of your moods and symptoms for after you have a baby... but then again, pregnancy will change your whole chemical balance and you may not have the same symptoms then as you do now.

I don't know if this is something you would be open to but I used to get heinous emotional PMS it all stopped as soon as I began accupuncture treatments. Also B12 & B6 should help. I would cease the B complex and take the individual supplements I think you will feel a difference.

A diet rich in calcium and Vitamin D is suppose to help relieve some of the symptoms of pms.

I suffered greatly from Pms when I was on the pill it was worse. In fact I was told by a pms clinic if I did not get off the pill, I would probably committ suicide, as I was severely depressed at least 2 weeks out of the month unable to function and breaking out in hives >Boom almost as soon as I started within days I was emotionally fine until I started ovulating again. THis clinic reccommed progestrone shots or told me I could try a health item. It was derived from wild yam roots. I was to rub a samll amount of this extract on my skin for a week before my period and a week after. I was also told to adjust the amount to what I needed, usually no more than a size of a quarter. It worked magic for me and to get off the pill. Also as 1 poster mentioned having a child changed my hormones. Three children later I barely suffer from PMS. Run this by a doctor before you try it, esp if you get pregnant. Good luck
