    Gaining Weight while excercising?
    Hello

I recently (a month back) started doing a regular walk in the morning for 30 to 40 minutes a brisk walk everyday & also have reduced my calorie intake. I have added more Fibrous food to my menu & also reduced on the fat intake by taking low fat food & sugar substitute. But I observe that I have not reduced weight & also my tummy is increasing everyday. I feel my tummy bloated all the time. I understand that it may not decrease immediately but not able to understand y it is increasing & what could have been going wrong. My portions also I have reduced so that I don't over eat at one time & not eat anything for the other meal. Even then this increase in tummy is really concerning. I don't see any increase in other part of the body but tummy definitely (my jeans are tight now). Being a women I want ot know if this is connected to the Mensural cycle by any chance? I am in the second part of my Mensural cycle. Please help me in solving this mystery. Thanks.

    Regards

You are probably retaining water and this is part of the menstrual cycle. Taking a B6 (diuretic) vitamin will not do any harm and eliminate some of that water if you don't mind being up peeing all night.

Thank you so much. I shall try this Vitamin. I have recently started drinking water in the morning.. say 3 glass of water when I learnt its good to drink water as soon as yo u get up. Will this have any connection with this water retention? What is the main cause of water retention? Thanks in advance
