    hotmail and msn access
can anyone help me? I have tried to sign in to my hotmail account and msn messenger and each time I do it says" signing in (attempt 2,3,4,5) we can not sign you in, there may be a problem with your internet service or our service." It also tells me to try again later. I have not been able to sign in now for over a week. I have checked my internet service and can get onto other websites and use outlook express email. It also says that hotmail and msn services are running with no problems, but still I can't access mine. When I tried to sign into msn, this came up and I don't know what it means 0X81000370. I am using windows XP and messenger 6.1. Please can someone help I am desperate.

    5.next click on security tab

    6. select trusted sites

    7. click on "Sites..."

8.Click on "Add" and add the following sites

    Messenger.hotmail.com
    Loginnet.passport.com
    Login.passport.net
    Memberservicesnet.passport.net

n.b: do not check 'Require server verifiation... "

    Re: hotmail and msn access
If you are using norton firewall, and when you try messenger 6.1
you can have a 0x81000370 error.
    you must configure the access:
    control access configure
    Microsoft msn messenger: check "automatic"
if other choice like "autorise all" you can have the error message.
and passport.net will not work; the "symantec security check" test (see symantec website" telling you have a server error.
to secure network, download and try :
Microsoft Baseline Security Analyser 1.2 (MBSA)
