    How does the destop.ini work?
The destop.ini is created by window and appear invisible in each drive, It's often created by viruses too. Then how does it work and how is it invisible in the drive (Even you turned on view hidden files and folders in Folder option)?

    Desktop.ini
    Hi,
This is a file, not hidden, when you click on "Unhide all files". It can be viewed in Notepad. Go to Start/Programs/Windows Explorer. In Windows Explorer, click on View at the top, then Folder Options. Click on the View tab, then under the heading "Files and Folders", put a checkmark by "Show all Files", then click on Apply and OK.
It exists in many folders, and is used to help configure the folders.
Go to Start/Find/Files or folders, and click on find in the C: drive, then type in "desktop.ini" without quotes, and click on Search.
You should find many instances of it coming up, with also showing the folders where it's located.
    Best wishes,
    fredg
