What type of fan do you have?

    Sue,

You just a little vague on your description. How long have you had the fan and is it in a 15 Amp Circuit or 20 Amp circuit. Does the remote have a battery charger for it or do you just replace the batteries?

Can you get the name an model number off the fan's name plate tag on the fan?

Is it the original remote control? If not, the original remote probably had a reverse button. If it is the original remote, then the reverse button is hidden somewhere on the fan body.

There is a trick listed somewhere on this site, shutting the fan off and on and pushing the blades in the desired direction. I've been told it works.
