I am going to replace a leaking toilet flange. I want to rest the new flange on top of my existing tile floor.do I have to fill in the existing gap that will be their when taking out the old flange or do they sell a flange that is bigger to cover the gap.

You need a flange extender

They sale a flange that is just a ring that will fit over top of the old or new flange you install, it will build up the flange about 1/2"
