    Unemployment garnishment for child spport
Can family law come after my unemployment benifits; that were just awarded to me, for back payment on a child support judgement against me? If so, are they allowed to take the funds in their entirity?

I would check with the unemployment people, but I haven't heard of unemployment benefits being exempt from garnishment, especially for child support.

If like me, you had family court paperwork filled out to decide paternity and support and visitation guidelines, then it may have been mentioned in the documents that they can take out monies from U/E checks to pay for child support. But maybe that makes it possible to get food stamps for yourself? Good luck and stay positive
