I'm looking for the title of a animated movie I watched when I was little, from the 80's or 90's. I don't remember quite what it was about, but I do remember it was about a young girl, possibly a princess whose father went to war. She lived in either a castle or a fortress and I believe she began climbing up a long pair of stairs in a tower and was visited by the spirit of her great-great-great-great (maybe more) grandmother.
