Thoughts:
. Check all under-dash and under-hood fuses with a test light or multimeter. Here's how:

This step will help you establish a "known-good baseline."
. Test for codes--AutoZone will do this for free.
. Test/replace the Ignition Control Module (ICM) and coil. AutoZone will also test these for free. Consider replacing the Crankshaft Position Sensor (CKP). If the ICM-function is performed by the PCM (computer) on your truck, then you may need to have it analyzed.
