Run a Clothes Dryer on 110 Volts
I purchased a compact clothes dryer for our 5th Wheel RV. Unfortunately, after installing it and preparing to connect the cord, I discovered that it is a 220V dryer and my RV only has 110V available. Assuming the drum motor is already a 110V motor and/or is a dual voltage motor that will run on 110V, is it possible to run the unit on 110volts knowing that the heaters will simply not develop as much heat? If yes, do I simply jumper the black wire on the 110V circuit from one hot input to the other on the dryer? Thanks very much for the help.
