    Tub Drain Extension
My basement has a rough-in for a traditional tub with the drain at one end but I have my eye on a whirlpool tub with the drain in the middle. I prefer not to bust out the concrete to relocate the drain. Is it acceptable to build a wooden platform to support the tub and provide clearance underneath to run the drain line over to the rough-in? The trap would remain in the rough-in rather than directly under the tub drain. Thanks in advance for your help!

I wouldn't suggest a platform for something as potentially heavy as a tub full of water.

You can rent a "partner saw" to cut into the concrete to make the bust out job a lot easier.
