    Quit claim deed in divorce
I signed a quit claim deed in 2004 and gave my ex husband rights to the house. I recently went to purchase a home and found out that I am still on the loan for the house that agreement was that he would refinance the home in 2006 o take my name off the loan he is not making payments on time and this is affecting my credit. My new husband and I are trying to buy a home and this other home loan is a ig problem. Does anyone have any advise as to how I can get off this loan?

Go back to the court and have them issue an order enforcing the divorce agreement. You can also try writing the credit bureaus protesting this being on your record. Send copy of the divorce decree.

Finally, explain to your current lender, showing documentation, that you are no longer the owner of that home and no longer responsible for the loan.
