If a person is disabled on the job and cannot work anymore, will they receive medical coverage while they are on disability?

First workers comp will only pay for a certain amount after that they will have to look into social security disability.
If it is a short term issue many employers will allow the employee to keep their insurance if they pay for it. After that they would have to look into Cobra which is also limited.
