    Red Eared Sliders
    Hi fellow members!

I am new here as you all can see, I was thinking of getting a red eared slider. I know all the requirements they need, such as:

    - Basking Light
    - Basking area
    - Water
    All the other stuff.

The only thing I don't know is the gallons, how big does a tank have to be for one single turtle? I have heard they needed 30 but other sites say they need 55.

We have a lot of them and they do fine in 20 gallon tanks until they reach the size if a large sand dollar then you can go as big as you feel nesiccary. They are slow growers so a 20 gallon tank will last for a few years if you get a baby. Tiny tiny one can have up to three at a time in a 20 gallon tank until they are the size of the top of a can of soda. You can also get good answers by going to www.AnimalAnswers.synthasite.com

The bigger the tank is, the bigger the turtle can grow.
