    Bath/Shower Faucet Conversion/Replacement
I want to replace our current 3 handle Pfister Price tub/shower faucet and diverter with a Moen single handle system. I have full access to the pipes. Can anyone offer some good how-to advice. Thanks for your kind consideration.

Are you working with PVC, copper or galvanized pipes? The Moen comes with great instructions but you may need some additional coulings to connect to your pipe.

All copper pipes. I'll check the Moen instructions. Thanks.

    KISS
Check for the availability of a plate to cover the 3 knob installation to convert it to a single lever. Less tile work you have to do.

I used commercial pipe hangers. The ones with the threaded rods.

I also used unions so that the entire unit can be removed for re-building etc.

I actually had one glitch and that was with the installation of the shut off valves. They were move to the ceiling downstairs, which turns out to be more convenient because they can be shut off more quick from downstairs and can be reached from the bathroom if the access panel is removed.
