My last period date was july15.I detected pregnancy on August 23.but when scanned on September 10,there was a delay of 2weeks in growth for the baby.some times my periods is late ;after 36 or 37 days.is there any chance for delayed ovulation?I don't have any vomiting. Only a vomiting sensation sometimes.is that related to any hormone defitiency related to child's growth?whether an ovulation delay of 6 days can cause 2weeks growth delay in the child?should I check my hormone level?

Now, a delay in two weeks is common at your early stage of gestation. You see, making a proper diagnosis of pregnancy is really just a guess as we can only go from the first day of your last menstrual period. From that day until the day of ovulation is approximately 14 days, or two weeks, depending on your particular cycle.

You may not get any vomiting hun. Not every woman does. Consider yourself lucky. Not every woman has morning sickness. Not every pregnancy has morning sickness. Your next pregnancy may be much different.

Hun, not to worry. I spent all day today in the labor and delivery unit of our hospital. Deciding a woman's due date is only a guess, literally.

What happens after delivery is there is a specific test that is done to the baby, it comprises a multitude of different tests. These tests will determine if your baby was full term or pre-term. Until that baby is delivered (and that's still subjective) there is no real way of telling exactly how far along you are.

My daughter was due on December 7. She was induced and born on November 5. One month and 2 days early right? Well, after careful examination and testing done by the pediatrician, she was considered a full term baby, not a pre-term baby as expected.

There is no real way to determine EXACTLY when conception happens. This is one reason that medicine is not an exact science. Another reason why doctors and nurses PRACTICE medicine.
