My hair is an orangy, greyish-green color!
Please Help. Yesterday I went to the salon for a medium or champagne BLONDE tint. I went in with a drab dark blonde hair-the color that blonde hair turns with age, I had no previous color on it except for the 2 inches of bleach on the ends from about 3 yrs ago. I explained I absolutely didn't want any orange or red. We decided on a color but when it was washed out it was not even close to what she showed me it would be. The roots were the exact orangy color I didn't want, the middle was a weird orangish-brown color and the ends were dark, but NO BLONDE anywhere. The next day I went back and they put highlights(light weave) with tint in between the foil. They wanted to put a 5c tint to bring me back to my natural base but reluctantly agreed to a 7c(which I explained was still a lot darker than my natural color). After 2 hours of sitting with the highlights and tint(put on after highlights) I ended up with white highlights and a very dark base. She put a toner on to "soften" the white. The result is barely there highlights, the orange roots are toned down but still there, and the rest is a very ugly dark Greyish-Greenish color. I don't want to go back to that salon and I can't afford to go another salon. I have to get rid of the orange on top and the grey-green color base but what will get rid of both? Any advice would be so appreciated!! Thanks a bunch! P.S. I really don't want to strip my hair or do anything very harsh because it's already on the dry side.

Argh can't believe the salon did that :s

What kind of a salon was it that you went to? Was it a reputable one?

What colour is it that you'd like?

To counteract the orange on your roots you'd need an ash based colour on there. And on the green perhaps a reddish based dye.

Salon "ME"! I decided I could do my own roots! I naturally have dark brown hair and have been getting it dyed and highlighted to a blonde color (Medium blonde base and very light blonde highlights). After six monthes I finally got the color I wanted!! BUT I had to go and ruin it... I did my own roots and it turned out bright orange! Then I made a mistake of taking advice from this girl that works at a close by beauty supply and put a medium (green based) ash blonde on my roots, which toned down the redness in my roots but some of it got on my highlights and turned it into this greenish dark blond... I just want my highlights back...
