One and Three way light sockets
I have a few three way lamps in the house. I was wondering if I could put a energy saving light bulb in those lamps without causing any danger? The energy saving light bulbs are one way.

    Thanks for the help,

The "three way lamp" and a thre way switch are totally different things so lets make sure we know what you have. If you mnean a lamp that can do three levels of brightness then do not add a CFB energy saving bulb. The F in CFB is fluorescent and that must have full voltage at all times.

    KISS
If you can put a standard bulb in the "3-way socket" it will work, but it won't be on/off. It might be on/on/off.

They make 3-way compact fluorescent bulbs. I think I got mine at k-mart.

But if it's a touch dimmer or any dimmer then the answer is no.
