    "Tip of the Iceberg"
I have to write an essay on the topic "Tip of the Iceberg," but I'm out of ideas. It's about a time when I was fooled by an appearance or something like that.. but I really recall anything like that, that was interesting. Any ideas?

Do you recall a time when you met someone and they wanted to make you think that they were the kind of person that they really weren't? And, you were tipped off to what they really were, or intentions that they had because of something that they said or did?

What you may have discovered about them may have just been the "tip of the iceberg."

How about a vacation? You read the travel books, you sent away for tourism information, you searched for information online. You had it all together and were very excited about the trip. Your first indication that this wasn't going to be fun was when you stood in line at the airport and were the lucky one chosen to be strip searched, only because you happened to be of Middle Eastern heritage and were carrying the long-ago bestseller, Final Exit, which you planned to read on the plane. That was only the tip of the iceberg. Things gradually got worse.
