    Hiya can anyone help me I've just set my laptop up to wireless broad band and when it connected to my router it said other paople can enter:confused: or something along them lines is there a way to put a password on because I'm on internet banking and I don't want anyone to get my details

    Type ipconfig/ all and look for the ip address that is like 191.etc.etc.etc. I would tell you the exact one but my computer is messed up so I can't check. I think it is the gateway one or something. Anyway type that in the address bar and then when a thing opus up, make the username admin and lave the password spot blank. Then you should see something secruity and then just type in a password.

    Internet banking uses SSL (https), so the traffic is encrypted. It's also encrypted over the wireless link.

    Encryping your wireless connection slows the connection down some and it doesn't allow your neighbor to hijack your network. Turring off Broadcast ID (the wireless network name) provides some protection.

    Hiya thanks for your help I'm sure it will come in handy it doesn't really make any sense to me:confused: I don't really understand computers but I will get my boyfriend to look he understands things like that more than me! Thanks :D
