    Baby or no baby?
My boyfriend and I are having a baby in December and he has had someone from the past come back in his life and say she had his baby! How do I find out if she did or not without going through her? I'd like to know if she is lying. Do I just call hospitals?

    Please help!

You don't. Hospitals will not give out that information. Besides, any name can be on the birth certificate.

The only way to know for sure is to have a paternity (DNA) test done on baby and your boyfriend. You're not going to be able to do anything without involving her.

You could check public records of vital statistics... but you need to know the name and birthdate I think.. he will need to take a paternity test regardless... to be sure it is his.

Go on the Maury show. They'll test for free and all expences are paid. That's what my friend did.

Shouldn't your boyfriend be the one trying to figure this out?

Yes, the boyfriend should be the one trying to get to the bottom of this. It is all possible the ex girlfriend is just saying this to get him back. The Maury Show is a great place to settle this.

The only way to prove it is if she files a motion with Family Court for an adjudication of paternity and have it served on him. Then he can either acknowledge or contest paternity. If he contests it, a DNA test will be ordered (probably at his expense) which'll prove once and for all whether the child is his or not. IF it's his, he can file for visitation, custody or whatever he wants and she can file for child support. But until any of that happens I'd treat it as if she's lying.

I think that we are missing the point!

If he could be the baby's father, then he should be the one fighting to determine paternity.

I know that this is hard to hear but whether this baby is his is not your business to straighten out.

The way I see it, he either has a baby on the way or he already has a child and has one on the way...

If you are with a man, he will work this out as quickly as possible to determine what his responsibilities are.

Yea I agree with most of these guys somebody besides you are going to have to be involve and a DNA test is needed.before your baby is due I think finding out what's going on very soon is a smart thing to do.because if you don't it might costly. His heart might be caught up.U need to talk to him and let him no its important that he gets a DNA test...
