I have No Idea
Is the car overheating? Does the temperature gauge go to "Hot?"
Its almost in the middle
Temperature is O.K. Open the hood and see if you can see a wire or hose that has melted. Try to identify where the smell is coming from.
Do u think the smell its because I need a oil change??
Yes, it could be if the oil is terribly oxidized. If you think that's the situation, get the oil and filter changed right away.
Change the oil and filter every 3,000 miles or 3 months, whichever comes first. Regular oil changes are the cheapest way to avoid the big unexpected expense with a car. The same thing goes for changing the transmission fluid every 24,000 miles or 2 years, whichever comes first.
Do u know what size filter it needs??
. Purolator L14459
. ACDelco PF1127
. Honda 15400-PR3-004
. Fram PH6811--lowest quality
Use 3.5 quarts of 5W-30 weight engine oil. If you plan on keeping the car, consider using a premium full-synthetic oil; e.g. Mobil 1 or Valvoline SynPower. Valvoline has a promotion now where you can get 6 quarts of SynPower for $9.00 (after rebate). It's available at O'Reilly Auto Parts:

If you use a full-synthetic engine oil, change the oil and filter every 6,000 miles or 6 months, whichever comes first.
Is 5W-30 the weight of the engine oil in my car??
Yes, that's the Honda-recommended engine oil viscosity for your Civic.
The burning smell is normally from the catlic converter that when you have driven your car for few miles and it starts to bog down.
