Time frame to file a claim
We sold a house last year on the condition that we change the knob and tube wiring in the house before the title search was done. Because of circumstances in finding a qualified electrition to do the work the house closed before the work was done. This made me very uneasy as now the buyers had supervision over the work that was getting done and I was afraid that they would have work done that was not part of the original agreement. This year they are claiming the work was not completed properly. Was the sale of this house done legally as the purchasers signed the paperwork before the work was complete. Do we have any recourse.

They have the right to hire someone to do the work and give you the bill.
You need to have someone do the exact work specificed and have the new owners sign a release.

You should have never closed until you did the work and they did a final walk though
