I have two Pcs installed with Xp SP 2 how can I make a network connection between there

If you have a crossover ethernet cable you should be able to connect these together. If you have a hub or a switch this is even better. Just make sure they are on the same network with the appropriate subnet mask. If you do you have a hub or switch just use a crossover ethernet cable and make sure your network settings are correct.

I would Right click My Comp. - properties - Comp. Name - Join/create a work group. And yes, you must pay attention to your subnet mask/IP addressing.
