I understand much of early history of England was written by monks; what name was given to such people?

It would help to know more specifically what you are studying.

Is it that you are looking for early (prior to 1066) histories of GB? or is it information more specifically about Monks that you are looking for?

I am studying for micro and macro economics
Do any one know of any websites that have easy to read illustration for study.
