If they're the original coil and igniter, I would definitely replace, not test, them. Use this time to install a new rotor and distributor cap. Personally, I prefer Borg Warner distributor caps, which come with brass (not aluminum) contacts. Their caps and rotors have a lifetime warranty.
Thanks very much. Fortunately I still have contact with the original owner and can verify the age of the parts. However, at first glance, they don't look like parts that have provided service for the 230.000 mile life of the vehicle. (I'll ask anyway, just in case they are original.)Quote:

Get a 1990 Honda Accord Haynes Manual, which is available at most auto parts stores.
