    Basement floor drain
I recently purchased a 30 year old home in Fairfax County VA. It is a 2 story house with a basement. The floor drain in the basement is overflowing when the condensate from the air conditioner flows into it. I put a metal rod down and hit what feels like gravel. Would this drain go to the sewer or could it possibly be going to just below the cement slab and draining into the gravel? Any help or suggestions would be most welcome.

Hard to tell how that drain was built. It may just drain into mthe sub floor gravel which is not a good idea. You can buy a condenstae pump for about $100 to pump anywhere you want if there is no other drain close by.
