How do I reset the service interval display on my 2000 BMW Z3. I have just changed my oil and need to reset. I found the data link on the console and have been told can be done by grounding the 7 pin for 3 seconds while the ignition switch is on. Will this work? Thanks!
To reset the service indicator following an oil service or inspection perform the following:Quote:

2. Turn the ignition on but do not start the engine.

O Yellow LED goes out after 3 seconds .
O Release button and remove tool.
INSPECTION RESET

* Release button and remove tool.
4. If an error is made before the above sequence of events is completed, repeat the procedure.

I've found nothing to confirm that grounding 7 for 3 is a reset procedure.Quote:
