Had installed new washer and dryer few days ago and installer could not get old hoses
Off at shut off's. He was scared he would break lines since washer / dryer on 3rd floor of Town Home... I personally tired and couldn't get them loose. Is there a secret way of getting them loose i.e. WD-40, heat etc? Or do I need to call a plumber to come out with special tools? Thank you

Here is the way I get them off. I use a small hack saw that uses a blade about six inches long. I cut the screw on part of the hose where it screws onto the faucet. This may be hard to let you know what I mean but I will try. Saw diagonal across the screw on part so that you will be saying down to the threads of the faucet, after you have sawed into the metal about an eight of an inch you will have a little saw mark the thickness of the saw. Take a sharp strong screwdriver and tap it into the saw mark, now try to twist the screwdriver, if you have sawn deep enough the metal piece should crack, once it cracks you should be able to then unscrew the ring of metal on the hose. If it does not break easily saw just a few more strokes and try again.
Now do not saw into what you would consider the front part of the faucet, where the rubber washer in the hose will fit against, saw more toward the back of the faucet where the threads will be thinner.
