My motorola sm56 modem keeps locking and may take up to 5 goes to get on line. Stops at verifying user name and password most times. But will go to registering on network and then lock. Takes ages to even get to this stage. Have another PC which uses same line and ISP and it goes through immediately So it is not the line. Is there any way to check/reset the modem. Fitted to a Acer Aspire computer about 6 months old.. Any help appreciated
