So this is my first time to ask a question - meet a guy, went out had a great time, texts a lot have met up a few times. The last time he text he has a broken leg and was wondering did I do house calls - said maybe and that if he wanted I could come over and get the milk from his fridge - if you text him in the middle of the night and then apologise the next day for maybe waking him he's like its OK you can call / text me whenever but then he plays hot and cold what is a person to do??

Exactly what do you mean when you say, he plays hot and cold?

how is he playing hot/cold? From what you have said, it seems he is flirting with you! Get over there and nurse him =) rent some movies, make him dinner, and cuddle up in front of the TV. If you text him, and wake him, and he said it's OK, call/text whenever you want he's saying it's OK and that you are not bugging him :)

Immature, doesn't know what he wants, gameplayer, he is doing this to not only her.
I bet he does this to several girls at one time, ignore him for a while see how he reacts.

There are men that try to flirt but not in the right way. He might have low social skills, but will she like someone who is restarted when things come to socialize?

It sounds as if you expect him to contact you everyday, and he isn't, but it seems he contacts you enough to keep your interest, but doesn't go overboard. I don't see this as hot and cold, but is leaving the door open for you. Check the poor guy out a time or two, without moving to fast, and see how you click together.
