Honda del sol 95 intermittant start
Hello there, I have a 95 Honda del sol. The car starts and runs smoothly 98 % of times but sometimes in the morning it is starting to give me "no start". It used to be only cold and we weather symptom but this summer it gave me trouble twice. Important things I have noticed is that I need to press the gas pedal all the way down and try for 10-15 minutes to get it to start, if I am lucky. Without pressing the pedal, forget about getting it to start. When the car is running it never gives me problem, only when it is left idle (overnight, weekends etc). My fuel filters, spark plugs have never been replaced. Any idea about what could be the issue ? I know a lot of hondas has hot start problem. Mine seem like cold start problem.. I never had my car won't start after a run... after sitting pvernight mostly it gives me problem

I would replace the spark plugs and fuel filter. Only use the exact NGK spark plugs that came in the car. Here's how to replace the fuel filter:

The fuel filter is likely plugged up. This should solve your problem.

One more Q dude... what is a good battery?
    About starting problem..

It turned out firestone had put 5 qt oil in my 4 cylinder engine. So the oil level was up.. on the top of that the engine gasket was damaged so oil was spilling all out.. so assuming my spark plugs were all wet by oil.. I changed them with ngk OEM honda ones and made firestone put them in for free ( as they started the problem by putting too much oil in)... car is starting fine now.. I am still not sure about cold and wet start.. but I am planing to change spark plugs wires also.. if that does not help.. I will look into changing main relay after this.. I changed distributor a year back FYI
Thanks a bunch TX buddy for your input though.. the fuel filter was also long overdue... car is much smoother now...

The best deal on batteries, that I know of, is from Costco. They are made by Johnson Controls and come with a 3 year/100 month warranty. You likely need a 51R.
