    Types of PVC
Hi, I have been wondering what exactly the difference is between Schedule 40 PVC piping and any other type. What specifically is different about what a schedule 40 does and its physical features? I am trying to get some piping that is 6" in diameter but that is not schedule 40 but I can't really do that if I have no idea what exactly that difference is. I'm now basically clueless for what to look for. If you can assist me with this I'd be grateful,

    Thanks, Sean

Schedule 40 is wall thickness. Pr200 is same size pipe with thinner wall. Schedule 80 is very thick wall but same outside diameter. Sewer pipe is slightly smaller that regular pvc

What will the pipe be used for? Schedule#20=light, schedule#40= regular and schedule#80= heavy pipe walls. Regards, Tom
