Has anybody ever heard a company email you with a job opp. that were there customers send you checks or money orders ,then you cash them ,take 10% (your cut) , and send the company the rest. Its suppose to save the company time with cashing us checks & money orders. The company is based in london.

They send you a check, you cash the check, you send them the 90%, the check bounces, you pay your bank back the value of the check, you're out of pocket to the tune of 90% of the value of the check. They just scammed you.

I got the same email. Feeling particularly hormonal I wrote them a tirade about stealing people's money. Reminds me - have to check that email - would love to see a response.

Every time you get an email offering a partnership an alarm should go off --SCAM

If you believe there is someone who wants to give you $15,000,000 DING - DING - DING

There is a fool born every minute --- Please don't be the sucker who bites on them

If something sounds to good to be true --- You are 100 % correct!!

The scams seem to always originate in Nigeria. I have always thought of that nation as poor. On one of my other replys I made mention that if there was that much money in Africa they are doing a disservice to their own people by not offering them the opportunity to "invest" first.

Funny, they never write me back...

Yes, I have heard of those companies. 99.9999% sure they are fraudulent. I had a close friend get involved in one of those deals a few years. The person she talked to, online, said she ran a Christian bookstore and needed my friend's help getting the merchandise and payments. Then to forward all the merchandise and money to a place in Nigeria. If it smells like a fish, it is a fish.

Good thing you did not fall for this scheme. You would be out money and then some.

I work for a private mail and parcel center and we hear horror stories of new store owners that agree to ship products that have been shipped to them from the customer who then wants it forwarded to them overseas.

The stuff was bought with a stolen credit card and then the store owner is left with nothing but calls from police and the shipping bills which ends up in the hundreds if not thousands of dollars.

Have also seen people send thousands of dollars through Western Union on scams.

Short story - nobody is going to give you thousands of dollars for nothing.
