I have installed an older model Hunter, w/remote and receiver only. The remote controls the fan as expected but does not/ is not controlling the light. The light stays on.
Fan fwd, 3 speed, reverse work via remote.
Which lead(s) control the light on/off via the remote/reciever, if any?
I have installed many ceiling fans, this is the first with a remote control/reciever and no instructions or wiring diagram.

Edit:
No pull-chains, hot wires only, hot/nuetral/grd (no wall switch)
Receiver has: red, pink, yellow, grey + white, blk/wh wires connected to power source.
Specifically: curious about the red receiver wire and what it controls, presently disconnected.

All the wires should match up color wise at the fan. If there's a red, it should connect to a red from the fan.

What did you connect the light to?

Thanks for the reply. The red lead from the fan is currently disconnected. I removed the fan from the ceiling because the red was attached with the white from the fan, connected to the house nuetral.
After re-attaching the fan w/o the red lead attached, light stays on (didn't fix the original prob) light staying on and created another.
Now, the fan does not start rotating, only with a push start assistance.
Red is going to be re-attached as it was, and the way it was, if I recall, when I removed it last week and installed a new in it's place while in Florida at the in-laws.
The receiver wiring is limited to yellow, grey, pink, white & black/wh. The red is from the fan itself and no red lead at the receiver.
I did notice on another web-site the exact or looks similar remote & recv unit.

Receiver is model "R12"
I used the suggestion from your link about bypassing the red (option 2) non-switched circuit.
It appears the red is part of the start circuitry.
Reading other similar posts, with the "light on" status and not controllable, I am trying to figure out the light wires at the recv'r.

Are you sure this receiver goes with the fan?

I am double-checking (phone-call) in search of the original paperwork. I disconnected the fan and didn't write down the color-code previously wired on a working fan.

If the colors don't match up, something is missing or incorrect.
